Hi, I am planning to immigrate to Australia, my qualifications are BS Zoology (Hons.) 2007-2011 and M.Phil. Microbiology 2012-2015 from Pakistan, my degrees are attested from the HEC - Pakistan (Higher Education Commission) and also by the Pakistan Foreign Office. I have two questions with regards to Vetassess Skill Assessment for Migration: 1 - Is it compulsory to have at least one year of post-qualification employment, in order to be eligible to apply for assessment ? Apart from the 4 months internship which was a requirement of the M.Phil degree, I have never worked anywhere. Will I have to work for 1 year and then be eligible to apply for assessment. 2 - Can I apply for more than one profession at the same time, there are some professions which are similar to one another, for example, Microbiologist (234517) and Biotechnologist (234514), in fact all of the professions listed under Life Scientists (2345) are related in one way or another, which is the reason that I am confused, and don't know which profession should I opt for. I have come to know from observing different forums, that getting a positive assessment in the first attempt is nothing short of a miracle, and it is the most important aspect of the whole migration process.
