Christmas came early for me today My visa has been approved!! I waited 3 months and 3 days since applying for the visa - which I did after the nomination had been approved. Went from received straight to finalised Goodluck to everyone still waiting!!!!

Hi @Pjmehta most people here are going through that process as it’s very normal for a visa application. It could take anywhere between one day and a year or two to finalise your case. It’s all about being patient.
-
If I was you I would ask my MA (assuming you have one) to contact the department. Seems ridiculous that it’s taking so long. Would think that your application got lost in the pile and wouldn’t hurt to get someone to dig it up for you, but they won’t do it themselves if not asked!!!

186 visa work requirements and employer cancellation
Muppett replied to Silentreader101's topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Your employer can’t cancel your visa. Immigration could but would investigate as to why you have resigned. I would recommend getting in touch with Fairwork. -
My advice is to get in contact with Fairwork and if they don’t do anything you can always get an employment lawyer to help you out. https://resolution123.com.au/ is one of those lawyer companies.

I think the answer to both those questions is confidential. They didn’t cancel his/her sponsorship because his visa application is still being processed but the business is no longer a sponsor due to whatever rules they broke.

You’re personally not in trouble but the company sure is. It does have a negative effect on your visa application as you no longer have a sponsor. Hopefully you can find a job elsewhere soon with a company that is willing to sponsor you.

187 regional migration- leaving sponsor
Muppett replied to Beth187's topic in Working and Skilled Visas
Only problem is that he/she is currently on a bridging visa if I understand correctly. I don’t think the same rules apply re cancellation as when you’re on a 457 or 187/186. (I’m not an expert so could be wrong) -

Hi @Berth187 It seems you’re in an awful situation. I’d recommend getting in touch with Fairwork Australia, they should be able to help with a number of things. It might be better to leave if your work is affecting your health. -
It tells you where to find your hap ID when you’ve applied. If your MA says it’s ok then I suppose it’s fine but I would personally always try to use the correct visa number.

I’m in the same boat. Could take anywhere between 1 day and the current 12-16 months processing time. Fingers crossed it’s sooner rather then later!

@Roni S Yes you would need to lodge the nomination again with the new wage. Better to wait and maybe he can give you a bonus once the visa has been approved to make up for the time you haven’t been able to get the raise?
