  1. Hi all! Does any one know once the AAT has ‘set aside’ immigrations decision does that mean immiragtion pretty have to grant you the visa? (If police clearances and medicals ok) our appeal has been set aside which is great news but I’m still not celebrating until we get the visa in black and white! Thanks
  2. Unfortunately you may be waiting a while, we waited 22 months to be asked for more information
  3. ring3018 ours was on the grounds that the company is not financially viable to pay the full time salary for 2 years, it was mainly stuff my partners employer needed to provide. They asked for financial statements, pay slips, profit & loss statements etc we have provided it all now just waiting for a decision or hearing date - very nervous but glad it's finally being looked at!
  4. Hi, we were finally asked to provide more information on our case after waiting for 22 months, and have submitted all the documents they asked for. (187 visa Carpenter - WA). Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the AAT to come back with the decision or hearing date now we’ve done this? Thanks
  5. This is great news! Can you tell me did they ask for more information first? Or did they just give you a hearing date straight away?
  6. Currently 18 - 24 months, we applied August 2017 and still waiting!
  7. Hi, do you mind telling me how long it took for your PR visa to come through once AAT gave their decision? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks
  8. Same with ours! Rejected saying the business could not pay the salary for 2 years but he’s still working for the business and it’s still profitable! I think if you’re doing an appeal you definitely need to use an agent. Would be good if everyone could post on here when they hear about their appeal so everyone has an idea of timelines I’m hoping it won’t be longer than 2 years! When we first applied for the appeal we were told 12 months n then it increased to 24 months.
  9. From WA and carpenter (it’s my partners job & im the defacto)
  10. Is yours for a 187 Sahib? We’re waiting since August 2017 so sounds like we have a while yet!
  11. Hi, Just looking for a bit of guidance here, we lodged an AAT appeal for our PR 187 visa in August 2017 which we believe was unfairly refused, and our visa agent thinks we have a good case. It’s now 21 months later and still we have not heard anything. We were originally told it would take around 12 months and then last year we were told it’s 18 – 24 months! Anyone else been through the appeal process and can give some idea of how long there’s took. Or anyone else in a similar position? The not knowing is becoming very stressful and is taking its toll. Many thanks
