  1. Not yet as the college have not officially done anything and I had told them what had happened and why I left. Which I had explained when I withdrew my Coe and now they are getting in contact again about course progress. I know my previous job have put in an application to get business approval so my nomination will take a few weeks to all go through. I was just wondering if anyone had the same issue before with a student visa.
  2. Hi all, apologies for the essay but looking for advice as my current situation is a bit messy! i arrived in oz on a working holiday visa end of 2015 and then the following year went onto a 2 year student visa which expired March 2019. I completed the first two vocational courses and then changed colleges as I chose to study something else instead and it would of meant I had to lodge an application to extend my student visa by January 2019 to complete the new course which I did not get done on time as you have to get it lodged within 6-8 weeks before expiry and I wasn’t aware of that at the time. Anyway, I left Sydney and returned home to the UK on the date of my visa expiry so I never became unlawful and I cancelled my COE with the college and explained the situation. The college are now emailing me two months later threating to report me to immigration for unsatisfactory course progress even though I’m no longer in oz and obviously have my reasons for failing because I did not submit my last assignments cause I knew I was leaving and obviously there was not much point cause I was never gonna finish the course cause there was still another 7 months to go and I had no visa anymore. my old job however have been struggling to get someone to replace me since I have left and have asked me to come back and offered to sponsor me on a 2 year 482 visa as restaurant manager and lawyer said I meet the requirements for work experience etc but I’m afraid now as the genuine temporary entrant on the short skilled requirements will bite me in the ass as I think they may see me as not being genuine on my previous visa. has anyone else had trouble with the genuine temporary entrant bit or ever not completed a course and been sponsored?
