  1. I submitted my FOI request through the Department (https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-and-support/departmental-forms/online-forms/foi). Nothing special in the formatting - just asked for the number of people waiting for a ceremony in the Lane Cove council. I submitted one in Feb as well asking for numbers of people waiting for a ceremony in all Sydney councils, but they refused that one because it was too broad I guess.
  2. Hi all, Received my citizenship ceremony invite today. It's been 8.5 years in Australia and I'm so happy to have finally received this email. I applied for citizenship last May, passed my test at the end of January and got the invite today for May 15th. Also, if anyone's interested - I submitted an FOI request for a number of people waiting to be allocated to a ceremony in Lane Cove and received the response yesterday. As of 31 March 2021, there were 287 people waiting for a ceremony. Hope you all get your citizenship test letters/ceremony invites soon Stay positive!
  3. Hi all, Just got my test invite! Currently scheduled for 16th of Feb. Application submitted on 28 May 2020. My partner applied in mid-June and hasn't received an invite yet. I'm from the lower north shore, Sydney center.
  4. Hi Rik, I applied as a secondary applicant on my partner's 186 visa. We didn't submit any documents confirming my dependency on my partner. I have a full-time job and fully supporting myself. We don't even have a joint bank account. I provided a few documents proving our de facto relationship: photos, joint lease agreement, transfers between bank account to each other (eg, I'm paying for all of the bills, so I just sent our MA screenshots from my bank account showing that my partner did transfers), itineraries for travelling, etc. Hope this helps.
  5. Hi Everyone, Just got our PR!!! So so so happy! Haven't got a call from our MA yet but saw the grant on the immi website. Good luck everyone, and especially to those who've been waiting for a very long time.
  6. Hi All, Silent reader here. Thought I will share our timeline. Applied on 17 Jan 2019. Request for information (medicals) came on Apr 5 after they approved our nomination on the same day. Did health assessment on the 13th, results uploaded to the immi website on the 16th. Our status has changed to initial assessment on the 5th but still waiting for a decision to be made after medicals were submitted. I'm not aware of whether our MA received that email from the Department. Hope to receive some good news soon. Good luck everyone!
