  1. Hi, I am looking for a migration agent recommendation to assist with one of the above visa applications. I am an Australian Citizen, but would like for my parents to come to Aus. Both are/were permanent residents but have not returned to Aus for many years due to substantial compelling reasons. We are hoping to apply for an RRV subclass 155 visa when it is possible but would like a migration agent to help with the application process due to requirement to provide background on why they left and did not return. This may be a choice of migration lawyer, or migration agent - but happy to hear anyone's thoughts. Should the above not be a viable route, we are also looking at applying for the subclass 870 visa (5 year). I have previously use Emergico Migration for my permanent residency application, but not overly confident in their services. If someone has any experience in one of the above applications and can provide useful pointers please feel free to do so. Thanks! Happy to provide any further information if needed.
  2. Another visa update. I've just been granted my PR today. As per my signature, Immigration Dep asked for further information which was Police Checks from Hong Kong (I had completed all other Checks/Medical a week or so prior to this). The certificate was uploaded today to my immi account. I logged in at 10am to check and saw it online under police checks. Visa was granted and finalised as of 30mins ago. My MA rang me to let me know the good news. A total of 331 days. Thanks to all who helped with questions. Good luck to others!
  3. Hi, was the late return of the police check OK or did you need to inform your MA/CO? I'm in a similar situation. Am waiting on one police check which is taking it's time.
  4. What is VEVO app and how does one get this? Can you still access this if using a MA? Thanks (apologies on silly questions if straight forward)
  5. Ah thanks. That's a little different from my situation then. I'm already on a bridging visa A (expired 457 Nov 2018), so to get a BVB would be a fairly simple process. Plus outstanding information is a police check so probably important they wait. Thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind for the future though.
  6. Haha, based on your signature, do you think the email referring to your travel plans in June helped? I'm in the same situation.
  7. From conversations I have had I don't think there is anything legally stopping you. The Government know that in two years a lot can change and therefore the minimum stay is not always possible. The only things I can see, from in depth conversations with a lawyer, are the following: - In your application you sign a declaration (page 14?) At least in mine I did that you and your company agree to work together for a min. of two years If this is broken, this generally isn't an issue, however, if your company decide to complain to the department (for whatever reason) then your visa may get reviewed. Also, when you come to citizenship, your visa and previous application is again reviewed. Technically if you just quit the day you got it, that could look premeditated and therefore be fraud. As long as you can prove that you reasonably tried to stay with your employer or vice versa, then I'm sure it is not an issue. All straight forward, but seems at the discretion of the CO at the time and the evidence supplied. All situations and reasons for leaving would be different.
  8. I received this. Along the lines of: 'We are writing to inform you that your application for an Employer Sponsored Entry visa will shortly be allocated to a Decision Maker for assessment. To reduce potential processing delays you may wish to commence your application for relevant onshore and offshore police certificates. Additionally, you may also wish to commence your health checks.'
