Hi @davey5593,
Yes, i am still around. I am no expert on this topics but i will share my interpretation of the request from the immigration department. This is purely my opinion and is in no way completely authentic. You will definitely need to consult your MA and your Employer to decide on the next steps. I haven't had any communication with the Department on my visa processing. I am now nervous that I may have a similar request but I sincerely hope that I don't get any such request .
Provide evidence from the relevant Australian registration or licensing authority that you hold the relevant registration or licence or that you will be able to meet necessary registration or licensing requirements. -
Alternatively, provide evidence that you do not need to hold registration or a licence to work in the nominated occupation
As far as I understand there are lot of regulations/permits/licenses required for personnel in Australia, especially related to safety. To give you an example : A fork lift operator needs an authorized permit, similarly does a maintenance engineer who works on heights above a certain limit. So in your case you might want to look at the duties/job responsibilities of the nominated position to see if any of the duties that you have stated needs a license/permit in Australia. If yes, you will have to provide an evidence that you are eligible to get the required license or provide some kind of proof that none of the duties need any special permits/licenses/registration. Your Company and MA might help with the required research and provide suitable documents as evidence. I don't think this request has anything to do with the Engineers Australia Outcome letter, which certifies your Engineering qualification to be equivalent to Australian standards and that you have relevant Engineering experience.
Again, this is purely my understanding on the subject which might not be accurate. And I am sincerely hoping that it turns out to be a simple clarification needed on one of the points on your application.I recommend you to consult your MA and get more clarity on the request (from the Case officer) before planning on the next steps.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.
Cheers!
