Hello there, I just joined this community. I'm from Sri Lanka and looking for a chance to immigrate to Australia with my family (husband & 2 yrs old son). I have an electrical engineering technician diploma (City & Guilds) and 8+ years of experience as a technical assistant (similar to the occupation mentioned in the subject). I have few things to get clarified; 1. Would my C & G diploma be recognized in Australia? 2.I have completed my diploma in back in 2010. (Nearly 10 years ago). Will they accept my diploma or will I have to face a skills test or something to prove my knowledge? 3. What are the other qualifications they will ask for, relevant to my occupation? Any suggestions? (So that I can obtain them which will increase my points) 4. If I'm invited & the visa is granted, shoul I find a job by myself or will I be offered with a job along with my 189 visa? 4. Finally, are there any other migrants here in this community, who have moved in for the occupation I'm referring to? These are my questions and if somebody can help me with these points, It'll be really helpful. Many thanks in advance!!
