  1. Thanks for that although I have another query now. I submitted my work experience in the RPL form which is 9 years (2008-2017). ACS have assessed my skills as suitable for 1 year from 2016 as they deducted 8 years because of not having any qualifications. So if I was to now gain an MCSE qualification (which ACS recognises as a comparable to graduate outcomes of an ICT major at the AQF Diploma level), would I then be able to submit another RPL assessment with the MCSE and because of this they would only deduct 6 years experience instead of 8? Or would I need to submit a normal skills assessment, which would mean I would then lose my 1 year of "skilled employment" from my previous positive RPL assessment, as ACS say they only count employment completed AFTER the qualification is gained?
  2. It's not clear, would you be willing to take a quick look if send you my ACS skills assessment?
  3. This is what I thought too, but I've done a fair bit of research online and a lot of people are saying I can only claim it if I'm still in the same position at the same company as my last job in the ACS skills assessment. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not as I can't find anything about this on the DIBP website. Their website reads as if I can claim it as long as the ANZCO code is in the same group (which it is) and it's classed as skilled employment on the ACS website???
  4. Hi everyone! In February 2018, I got a positive skills assessment under ANZCO 263111 - Computer Network & Systems engineer. I don’t have any IT qualifications, so I had to submit an RPL form. I claimed 8 years experience from my job back in the U.K. and ACS assessed this as suitable, so I can use this to claim 15 points for 'Skilled employment in the last 10 years – outside Australia'. Now I have been working in Australia for 1 year (since Feb 2018) as a Network Administrator ANZCO 263112. I want to claim this experience for an extra 5 points for ' Skilled employment in the last 10 years – in Australia'. The problem is this last years experience is not on my original ACS assessment, but according to the home affairs website (https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/skilled-independent-189/points-table) I can claim this if: • in the 10 years before you are invited to apply you completed at least 20 hours of paid work per week (this may be adjusted for shift or fly-in-fly-out workers) in your nominated occupation and/or a closely related occupation. Closely-related occupations must be: o in the same ANZSCO Unit Group or o consistent with a career advancement pathway or o determined by an assessing authority that it is closely related to your nominated occupation. • either the authority undertaking your skills assessment states in the assessment that your employment is skilled or your employment experience meets the standards for skilled employment set by your assessing authority on their website. So my question is will I be able to claim the extra 5 points without having to pay for another ACS skills assessment? Network Administrator which I have been working as for the past year is in the same ANZSCO Unit Group AND meets the standards for skilled employment set by ACS on their website?
