  1. Oh fantastic! Thank you so much for replying! That was also my concern that we don’t have any contact details for him. I will be emailing our solicitor first thing tomorrow morning. I’m glad you managed to get your order. Good luck with your move!
  2. Hello, First time posting here; I will try and include as much detail as possible, sorry if I ramble on. I have a 7 year old daughter from a previous relationship. I’m now married with 2 young children (2 & newborn) and my husband has raised my daughter from the age of 1. My daughter hasn’t seen her biological dad for 3 years now after a couple of years of sporadic contact. I don’t, and have never, received any money from him, nor do I ever intend to. His mother emails me once every couple of months to ask after my daughter and I always respond and occasionally send a photograph of her. Never any contact from the dad, no birthday/Christmas cards/gifts or emails/messages from him for the past 3 years. Could anyone advise of the likelihood of us gaining a court order to allow us to take our daughter with us to Australia? We would be coming over on a 189 visa. We did initially have a court order for contact back in 2013 and I got a residence order at the same time which I don’t think they grant anymore. He had an order for “reasonable contact” and then following a period of not seeing her for 8 months and social services involvement, he sent a letter via his solicitor to my solicitor in 2016 stating he was “stepping out of her life for a few years” I have no idea if he ever intends to attempt contact with her but assume the longer he has left it slims his chances? Thanks in advance to to anyone who can help. Amy
