Hi Mily,
I am a dependent child applicant, and I just saw ur sister's case and its very similar to my case. i have been studying in Australia for the past 5 years. I have applied for my 143 visa on 29 July 2016 (which was before the changed has been applied for upper age limit ).
I finished my bachelor in 2019 and i am currently working casually (up to 20 hours a week) and also doing my masters which would finish on June 2020 which would be before they request the additional document.
Do you reckon to apply for PhD or just wait as I can be 3 months without being a student?
what sort of answers did u write on the dependent questionnaire for ur sister to be granted for questions like1: is she is going to work in the future?
2: is she work part-time or casual job?
i will appreciate ur reply thanks!

Sorry for late reply because i dont check my message often
my sister after she graduated her bachelor, she enroll in tafe for diploma course just to make sure her student visa is valid & easy to show immi that she was still dependent child all the time. You shouldnt stop study & do nothing in the time of waiting for visa 143 because immi will ask u for a reasonable reason. Find some course which is cheap to enroll & keep your student visa.
I told my sister to enroll in the 1 yr course as i think by that time she would have visa grant. But i was wrong & she had to extend her visa twice. It cost more $. So plan ahead a bit futher just in case u know.Btw Waiting time will b longer now coz immi stop process the application for at least 2 mons because of ncov19.
my sister is still studying at tafe . her new semester has just started recently & we paid the same amount of $ as local student, not international price.
good luck.
