Hello this is my first post so I'm sorry if I'm going over something that may have already been discussed. I'm finding it difficult to find the information I'm looking for. I'm currently knocking on the door of 40 I'm English born and bred but my father is Australian he came over here with my brother who is also Australian by birth and my mother who is British. My father returned to Australia over 15 years ago. So basically do i qualify for citizenship by descent even if he lived in the UK at the time of my birth he's always remained an Australian citizen. Can i apply for dual nationality and what if any rights would that give me in Australia. After a recent visit to see him with my own family. I'm finding an urge to be with him and my extended family getting stronger and stronger so I'm looking at all options. Any help, advice or clarity would be very much appreciated.
