    Who makes you laugh?

My humour is very dry. So I love James Acaster, Nish Kumar, Dara O'Briain, David Mitchell, Jon Richardson. I don't find Miranda Hart, Jason Manford or Tim Vine funny at all. My husband loves these

    What to watch - Recommendations!

It's brilliant isn't it. Me and my husband always joke about the Uhtred son of Uhtred bit lol, the actors are all fantastic in it. Really like Father Beocca character too.

    What to watch - Recommendations!

What have you recently watched that you would recommend & why? For me it's: 1. The Marvellous Mrs Maisel - Netflix drama about a female stand up comedian in the 1950s. Fabulous sets, outfits & music! Lots of feel good laughter. You could probably devour both seasons in one sitting! 2. The Last kingdom - Originally BBC2 now Netflix - British historical drama based on the Bernard Cornwell Saxon novels about the Viking invasion and Dane/Saxon divide. I absolutely love this series, the balance of factual / drama, the music, the undertones of comedy. If you can see past the sometimes dodgy danish accents, I'm sure you'll love it! 3. Staircase - Netflix real life documentary about a writer's wife who dies by falling down the stairs and he is suspected of her murder, the series follows the investigation and trial. Addictive viewing that leaves you feeling all sorts of emotions!

Anyone had tomove back to UK for financial reasons?

So sorry to hear this, it sounds like lots of people who have emigrated are struggling to find work regardless of age, so can't imagine frustrated how you feel. What type of work do you do?

Need ideas for a starter for dinner

Oh yes a Yorkshire pud - you can't go wrong! Question though Yorkshire pudding with Xmas dinner yay or nay? My husband is adamant we should have it at Xmas but my family never did. Starter ideas - I'm a big fan of mezze, cured meats, olives etc. then people can get as little or as much as they like. Also Japanese Gyozas with dipping sauce are popular easy choice, or go back to basics with a good old prawn cocktail

    What Book are you reading??

I am currently reading The Yorkshire Shepherdess after throughly enjoying the TV programme Our Yorkshire Farm, following the life of a shepherdess and her children on their farm in the dales. I've just finished reading Lethal White by Robert Galbraith, part of a series of Detective novels called Strike. I'm also reading Human Universe by Prof. Brian Cox whose books I love!

Have you ever had a bad insect bite?

I seem to always get bitten when on holiday, mosquitos love me and I always blister with them! I also came away from a holiday in Egypt with numerous ant bites that blistered and more recently I got bitten by a spider in Portugal and the bite wound took 3/4 months to heal and turned black, I still have a massive scar on my leg! Ironically, the times I have travelled around Australia I haven't been bitten by anything...probably for the best since if it would probably kill me if it did!

    Whats your hidden gem?

Not so much a hidden gems, but being a Yorkshire girl, there are so many places I love! Saltaire and Salts Mill - there is something so lovely about walking through the old textile mill in summer looking at all the books and the strong smell of the lillies in the sun on the window sills. Malham Cove - walking the limestone paths on the top of Malham cove and down to the waterfalls at Janet's Foss. Haworth - I love my local village of Haworth, the cobbled Main Street at Xmas, lit with fairy lights and sprinkled with snow it's the home of the Bronte parsonage and so much literary history. Ilkley/York - Betty's tearooms are my favourite treat

Visa granted! What to do next?

Aw fantastic, I suppose next steps are to look into areas to live in, secure jobs (if you haven't done already), sign up to some agencies. Do as much research as possible, shipping costs etc. I haven't emigrated yet so I suppose I haven't got much I can add, but good luck!
