  1. I applied for NSW. You? When did you do your eoi?
  2. I’m applying for visa 190... still pending on skill select since December
  3. Hi everyone.. I have completed my EOI on 21/12/2019 with 70 points. Would 70 be considered good? I am thinking of sitting the PTE exam AGAIN as I received 76 overall which is proficient, should I attempt it again to try for superior? English is my first language but I have to admit, the exam was pretty tough. This waiting game gives me anxiety. Also applying under “social work” thanks in advance for any replies
  4. Hi everyone, I am checking my skill select and just curious if anyone has received an invitation yet for their visa? I have 70 points and applied for invitation on 21/12/2019
  5. Have you done your English exam? I’m going to wait until I get an extra 10 points for my English before submitting EOI Did you not choose the state you wanted, or does it not work like that? Please let me know how you get on though.
  6. I received mine in August. Although I only have 1.5 years experience so I need 20 points in my English exam (that is over 79) I got 76 so I repeated it today. Fingers crossed I get the results I need tomorrow to apply for the skilled visa
  7. I RECEIVED A THIS POSITIVE ASSESSMENT YESTERDAY!! Delighted! Waiting time: February to August. Good luck everyone, not long for you all now I would say :)
  8. I applied in February , I think I will find out in November/December. Have you applied yet?
  9. Mine was £997.00 depending on the exchange rate it’s usually $1800
  10. Hi, so they recieved mine in 6 Feb 2019 - done preassessment check on 7 Feb 2019, they took the payment & said on the preassessment it looked I had all the correct information - they advised 30+ weeks. Have you submitted yours yet? I will keep you updated on my process. But no word since start of Feb
  11. Hi, I only sent mine in Feb. Did you receive a positive assessment? If so, how long did yours take?!
  12. They also advised they only count experience from the date after qualifying as a Social Worker - if this helps
  13. Update: I sent my assessment and #AASW recieved it on 07 Feb 2019 I have been advised I may get a response as late as next year
  14. I am registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) i hope to apply and settle in NSW
  15. So in relation to the employment purposes it outlines in AASW you need to have 3+ years experience outside of Australia to earn points - I have 6.5 years of being a care worker for the NHS and I did not include this as it is not a ‘Social Work’ role. Therefore I will not get any points for experience. Are you able to claim for your homelessness experience? If so that is fabulous it will get you exceptional points. I’m really afraid I will not get enough points to complete an expression of interest, it all boils down to my English exam really
  16. There is also a checklist keep referring back to it, it will keep you right
  17. I only have BSc Honors Degree Level - it will give me 15 points. I also need to get near full marks in my English as I only have 1.5 years experience as a Social Worker, therefore I get zero points for experience as my experience is only in the UK. I completed the AASW assessment myself and did not use an agent. I only sent mine last Monday and the Royal Mail said it arrived today. however money is still in my bank and no confirmation email yet. Will you get extra marks for your masters?
  18. Yeah your totally right - that’s mine posted away now this morning. I was speaking to someone tesmsterday who was on their 47th week of waiting - awful isn’t it. Thanks for your reply anyway - worth a try lol
  19. Hi please can somebody advise if AASW has a fast track system for skilled assessment? Many Thanks
