You can apply for UK police check online via https://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx and it takes 10 working days

Congratulations! Now you have visa, can I ask if there is a date stated which you have to enter Oz by ?

Does anyone here work in an IB school in SA?

Are there any IB teachers who have successfully made the move and found work in IB schools in SA?

QTS doesnt seem to be an issue as my PGCEI was same one from Sunderland and has been accepted by AITSL. Bu my worry now is whether it will be ok for teacher registration in SA

So glad I've stumbled across this useful forum We are just waiting for our 489 state nominated visa for SA to come through, but my concern is as this is a temp visa will schools be reluctant to hire? I understand we need to register to teach in Oz but does a positive AITSL skills assessment mean you are considered qualified to teach ?

So glad I found this group and so lovely to hear peoples success stories. We are waiting to get assigned a case officer for 489 visa. I'm starting to have a panic about this type of visa - does anyone know if you have to pay for schooling with 489 visa and if employees will be less reluctant to hire you on this type of visa with it not being permanent.
