  1. Hi guys, I have a question...I've been with my employers for 3 years and I got my PR through in May 2019. The company I work for is being acquired and i'm not sure about the long term security of my role. I know you are supposed to stay with your employer for a minimum of 2 years post PR grant but would an acquisition give me a valid reason to find a new role without risking my PR status? Thanks!
  2. Hi @CarterW Thank you very much. We had 28 days to supply the additional info. Hope this helps!
  3. Morning all, I received my golden email yesterday. I've been incredibly lucky, our application was finalised just over a month after lodgement. Details are in my signature. We arrived in Australia in Aug 2016 and with the changes to the 457 visas, didn't think this day would come for us. Thank you for everyone who has contributed to this forum. It's been so helpful to speak with other people in similar situations. I wish you all the best of luck! If I can be of help in any way, please let me know.
  4. @Soph767 Amazing news! I am a 475 -186 TRT Marketing Specialist also from the UK. I lodged on 15/04 and my nomination was granted on 20/04 they asked for our medicals which we have now done, and police checks but I'm waiting for my police checks to arrive. I paid extra for the UK police checks to be sent to my dads house in the UK as well as to my address here in Aus. How long did you police checks take to arrive?
  5. Morning all, I had my medicals done on Friday and I now see this message in my Immi account: Examinations ready for assessment – no action required The required health examinations have been completed and submitted by the panel clinic to the department. This person's case will be processed or referred to the department's migration medical services provider, Bupa Medical Visa Services, for further assessment. But under my partner's name it says this: Health clearance provided – no action required All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue. This will not occur until a case officer investigates the case in line with published processing times for the visa that has been applied for. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime. Does anyone know what the message under my name means? Thanks!
  6. @millie1871 Thank you so much, I do feel so lucky. Still in shock! My MA said she hadn't seen them move that quickly in the past. I'm sure it will! I just hope the second step (my application) goes smoothly too. Praying for all of us
  7. Morning all, After lodging my nomination and application on Monday 15th April 2019, I was very surprised to receive an email from my MA yesterday to say our nomination was approved on Saturday, less than 5 days! Immi have requested our police checks and medical assessments. Police checks from the AFP have been lodged and I'm applying for UK police checks today. Medicals are booked for this Friday. I've been reading this forum for a while and I never thought i'd be one of the lucky ones who receive an update like this so soon. The company I work for is pretty small. Thank you to everyone for your help, especially @Hex ! I'll update you guys again when I hear more. Can someone please update the spreadsheet? Updated details can be found in my signature.
  8. Hi Everyone, Can someone please add me to the spreadsheet? The details are in my signature. We haven't yet done our medicals or police checks but will do so in the next 2 weeks. Thanks!
  9. Great news! I'm in a similar situation, I'm on a 457 and my boyfriend who's also from the UK is on my visa. We will have completed 2 years on a 457 in April, also grandfathered from the old rules. Although my role category is Marketing Specialist. Do you know if it's possible to lodge the company nomination before the 2 year mark? I wouldn't have thought so but thought it would be worth checking with you just incase I can get ahead. My MA is reluctant to give me any info on how the process works until nearer the time so right now I'm clueless. Good luck with your application!
  10. So helpful, good to know other people who have been through this. Thank you ever so much!
  11. Hi everyone, First time poster, I'm so grateful for this forum. Thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences. I'm a marketing manager currently on a 457, based in QLD, due to apply for ENS TRT in April (hopefully the Feb announcement won't change that) - counting down the months! I am the primary applicant and my partner is on my visa. The MA my organisation uses are based in Perth. From what I've read, you guys tend to put a lot of work into both the nomination and the application. I want to give myself the best chance of a successful grant. Do you guys have any tips? I don't trust the MA and my organisation to be as diligent as you guys. The organisation I work for hires a lot of overseas employees but I am the first person in the marketing department. Also, do you know what would happen if I fell pregnant before or after the PR lodgement? I know we would be unlikely to qualify for paid parental leave but would it effect our chances of getting PR? Thanks in advance!
