To those friends who worry about training benchmark, I have got my PR already and I can tell that it is very important but not the decisive condition. As some reasons, my employer paid for the training benchmark for the first year delayed for about 1 year. I was worried if we could satisfy the training benchmark requirement. But now, my experience could prove that it still takes a flexible approach when assessing benchmarks. If you have the same issue, do not worry too much. Stay positive and patient, your golden email is coming soon.

Hi Rob, It really depends on what kind of broker you are. My one is 222199 Financial Brokers nec. (This occupation group covers Financial Brokers not elsewhere classified. Registration or licensing may be required.) It is said that the registration or licensing may be required but I do not have any. I just submitted my degrees which is relevant to finance. My employer also wrote an explanation letter to the CO to introduce my occupation. (Of course, it is better if you have any license.)

Hi guys, My employer was asked for more information for the nomination. 1, No equivalent worker 2, Terms and conditions will be no less favourable than the terms and conditions provided or would be provided 3, Evidence of meeting the training benchmarks for nominations made in the Temporary Residence Transition 4, 2 years full-time, in a 3 year period preceding the nomination The only one I worried is the training benchmarks. Our sponsor was granted in September 2015. But for some reason, my company did some invalid training for the year 2016. After that, they paid the training fee later in July 2017, November 2017 and November 2018. My MA has written an explaination letter for us. Do not know if it works. Does it matter regarding the nomination? Or is there anyone meet the same issue? Really need your advice. Thanks!

All good mate. Hope all of us can get the PR soon. Now the only thing I worry about is our small company size. Keep positive and pray for the nomination grant

Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL) "There is no separate STSOL list on our website as visa programmes that utilise this list can also access some additional occupations on the MLTSSL. For ease of reference, we have combined both the STSOL and the eligible MLTSSL occupations together. See: Combined list of eligible skilled occupations. You must nominate an occupation on this Combined list of eligible skilled occupations if you are applying for any of the below: Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 186) – Direct Entry Stream Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) - State or Territory nominated Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457) Training visa (subclass 407)" Removed occupations On 19 April 2017, 200 occupations were removed entirely from the STSOL. See: List of the removed occupations A further 16 occupations on the MLTSSL (indicated by ‘** asterisks’) were restricted to only apply to the following visa programmes: Skilled – Independent (subclass 189) Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) Skilled-Regional(Provisional) (subclass 489) - Family nominated See: Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) If your occupation has been removed from the list, you will be impacted if: you apply for one of the following visa programmes on or after 19 April 2017: Employer Nominated Scheme (subclass 186) – Direct Entry Stream Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (Subclass 457) Training visa (subclass 407) That is, any applications already lodged before 19 April 2017 for the above visa subclasses (other than a 457 visa) will not be impacted (even if the occupation was removed on 19 April 2017). your subclass 457 visa or nomination application is still being processed by the Department on 19 April 2017. In such cases, your application cannot be approved. Once your application has reached the assessment stage, you will be contacted by the Department and given the opportunity to withdraw your application in writing. Alternatively, you can request a withdrawal in writing at any time and request a refund of the application fee. If you do not withdraw your application, it will be refused. If you already hold a subclass 457 visa, you will not be impacted by these removed occupations unless you apply for a further subclass 457 visa or are changing your occupation or employer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi mate, I just copy n paste this from previous post. By my understanding, it would affect 186 Direct Entry only. Please check the last line which said if you already hold 457, you will not be impacted. Not too sure, please contact your MA and let me know the outcome as my occupation was removed as well.
