  1. That is some good news for me. Thanks Alan, really appreciate your feedback.
  2. Hi all, Is anyone aware if parents become ineligible for 143 if they become over 67(pension age) by the time of visa application outcome comes? Main applicant in my case might be over 67 by the time our visa gets processed? Any help would be welcome.
  3. Hi Team, Slightly off topic, but say someone has an error in their application and submitted that application in July 2018, what are the waiting times for such a case with 3600 places? How does that compare for a July 2018 application which has no errors?
  4. Hi, Can anyone who has had a valid queue date assessment done tell me about their experience? Did they receive an email or phone call or anything? I am only asking because I have applied for 143 in June 2019 and I have received an email from the department with the subject "IMMI Ackn of Valid Application - Post Lodgement".
  5. Hey Sherlock, Who did you raise this with ? Local MLA or local Federal MP? I am happy to raise the same with mine.
  6. Hi Linda, I received an "acknowledgment of valid 143 application" email in June 2019. Does this mean my application could still be invalid? If yes then this is worrying because I have applied for 143 almost 2 years back now.
  7. Thanks for the advise. Yah I applied April 2019 and haven't heard anything yet.
  8. Congratulations MajHam, I have a query, I have received a notification in email for a valid application for 143. 1. Is there anything else I should be doing before Aos or 2nd VAC is requested? 2. Is anyone aware if the income requirements for Aos have changed? Thank you in advance if anyone is aware of the above.
  9. Hi all, I have submitted 143 visa, can you explain me what is VAQ and when is it requested generally? Is it split in 2 parts?
  10. Hi Linda, Sorry I am the sponsor for my parents who have applied for 143. I follow this forum out of my love for my parents. I have been settled in Australia(Australian citizen) for 11 years now.
  11. Hi, Is anybody aware here if I sponsor a relative on 491, then will that affect my application of 143 in anyway?
  12. Wow thanks, Linda, that explanation was very simple and easy to understand. Thank you for this information. Seems like I did the right thing by applying straight for 143.
  13. Hi guys, Just out of curiosity, can someone who decided to go with 173 explain to me why they decided to go with 173 instead of 143? Do you go back the queue once you apply for 143 when on 173?
  14. Hi Guys, How do you guys think the present economic situation will alter 143 in near future? Will we have lesser number of people being granted 143 in near future? Just want to speculate.
  15. Hi guys, Has anyone here know if based on their health assessment their 143 was recently declined? Also any time frame idea for me?
  16. Same as before, did you mom recently get 3years? I wonder why they swtiched from 3years back to 1 year for me then.
  17. Hi Anks, I am same boat as you, only applied for 143 though 2019. CPV 143 Applied on 05/04/2019 Acknowledged on 30/05/2019
  18. The money did go out for subclass 143 and I did email me the receipt.
  19. I only received an acknowledgement of valid application, NOT a receipt. Am I in trouble?
  20. Hi Guys, What is the difference between Subclass 864(Contributory Aged Parent Visa) and Subclass 143(Contributory Parent Visa). At the time of application for my parents, my father was 59 and my mother 57.
  21. Thank you for this information mate, is there any chance you can share with me the source of this information i.e. 39000CPV applications? I want to keep an eye out on this one? Also, I would be very happy if you can share how we can figure out they have 6096 spots each year and how many of those slots are used?
  22. Hi again Tulip1, I have only received one email from parents@homeaffairs.gov.au as acknowledgement of valid application received. Is this all that everybody received until they came forward in the queue?
  23. Hi guys, New reader/member here to the forum. I applied for 143 subclasses straight and I have joined the queue for this one? I see currently they are processing applications from 2016, I am guessing this will mean my turn will come by 2024(hopefully). I applied for subclass 143 straight in April 2019 and got acknowledgement by May 2019. Does anyone have any experience with the following issues: 1. My mother has type 2 diabetes and has to monitor her sugar every now and then. Will this impact her health requirements? Given we are applying for permanent visas for elder people, I am guessing they are bound to have some kind of existing medical condition. Any input will be appreciated. 2. My mother/father used to get 3 years tourist visas in the past, suddenly last year they have started only giving 1-year visas when I asked for 3yrs on the application. Anybody else has experience with this? Is this because they want to raise revenue by making us apply for the expensive 870 visas? Any input will be greatly appreciated.
