  1. Guys I’ve got some good news from my end! Finally the wait is over and my PR was granted today. As much as I’m happy my heart still goes out to all of you that have been waiting! Immi requested further information on 30/04 re: new AFP from my end and new employment contact from work. FYI - If I may suggest pls make sure to keep and remember all your information and documents up to date (remember your afp expiry dates, meds, etc and check with your MA if all docs been uploaded, ask your MA if any doc needs to reapplied or renewed if anything’s closer to expire, etc). As MAs deal with many applications it’s always handy to keep up to date with your details. Yes we pay our MAs but at the end end of the day it’s our PR application. You all have been fantastic and massive support in this journey! Good luck to you all and wish you all have your PR granted so soon! Take care guys!
  2. I have some news from my end and thought might help or give hope for those who’ve been waiting prior Aug 2018. My application has gone to initial assessment and been requested to provide a new AFP clearance which I applied again today. Yes I did receive that infamous email on the 4th.
  3. I received the same advise from my MA too. My medical expired about a week ago and I asked if I should go for a new one. My MA said the exact same thing as your MA, to wait for the Dept’s advise. However, she advised me to renew my AFP and overseas police clearances.
  4. For sure SAF levy makes it easier for applications to be assessed. My MA told me that she received the email last week or week before stating the same. I lodged the application in May 2018. However no news. Im just learning to love this limbo! Fingers crossed for all of us!
  5. Hey mate, Proof of relationship doesn’t nesccessarily need to be joint bank accounts. You can also use stat declaration from family and friends, photos of any gathering such as social, cards, letters, phone records, emails, rental agreements (past, present), etc. What the dept wants to see is the genuineness of the relationship. Hope this helps.
  6. Hang in there Jenny1985, it’s not too far. I respect the frustration we all have. If we take a little step back and look around there’s always more out there for all of us in life. Until then let’s hope yours and all of us golden emails come through soon!
  7. Hi Loktar, yes correct it was removed. I got grandfathered due to old 457 rules. Otherwise would’ve been on a different boat
