  1. Hi there, need some advice, I’ve been working as a cook for my sponsoring employer for 2 years now, got 187 visa approved 5 months ago, now my employer has put me as casual employee on just verbal notice as they can’t continue paying full time wages anymore, can I leave and find another job as I cannot stay on such a small wages, employer is refusing to give release letter or anything in writing as they don’t want me to leave. So confused and stressed don’t know what to do, any advice? Thanks
  2. Hi mate, I would suggest follow what your MA suggest and be honest with immi, if u don’t have any family relationship than attach stat declaration form to prove u don’t have any family relationship with employer, coincidentally u may have work in same company not a big deal mate, its a small world.
  3. Hi I’m updating my friend’s timeline so it can give u some hope occupation cook Qld Nom & visa applied 17 june 2017 nomination approved today sponsor monitoring unit people visited her workplace about three months ago, they asked lots of questions to employer , than immi rang her for phone interview after about a month. Last month immi asked employer to comment on some adverse info they found which was related to some work cover dispute few years ago, employer clarify all their doubts by providing the documentation and immi was satisfied with the response. Her nomination has been approved today. requested AFP for visa application.
  4. If u meet the requirements go for new nomination, that would be quicker and safer than AAT
  5. That hurts, Why they said restaurant don’t need full time cook, is there any other chef or cook already working?
  6. Hi, Im on BVC too, can’t do anything else other than wait, I think 36k is too low, check your award rate online, even before your contract starts you should not be underpaid.
  7. Thats long wait but why would someone hire 2 managers, is that such a big company
  8. After 12 months from pr and total 4 years in Australia
  9. Congratulations, so u had to submit overseas pcc as well again ??
  10. Hi, yes you need approval from your employer they should not have any trouble with that, you need to create online portal with TRA and fill the application for PSA which is 1st step of JRP and cost $300 when you complete the online application they will ask you to email your documents ie pay slips to prove 360 hours work, employer reference latter with your duties etc bank statements etc you need to ring TRA to get information if you are eligible to do jrp or not by giving your qualifications details etc. once your PSA is approved they will guide you to second step which is job ready employment cost around $500 than third step after 9 months I think workplace assessment cost $2000 they vist your workplace to examin you, fourth step final assessment $150 whole process takes 1 year. Thanks
  11. Paala, As u have cert 4 in cookery, get 360 hours experience as cook or chef’s assistant or something similar. Create account online with TRA, After compeleting 360 hours, submit your PSA(provisional skill assessment) cost $300. you will need letter from your employer, pay slips, bank statements, your passport copy etc, PSA is taking upto 90 days to be approved So you need time somehow. I hope it would help u a bit, normally I wouldn’t go to MA for such a simple process but your case is getting bit compicated so batter go to MA. ring TRA to confirm your job ready program JRP 1300360992 .Good luck
