So I have been a bit of an idiot and when I submitted my skills assessment I didn’t include any qualifications as they are not relevant to my role. I have since pondered on this and wondered if I should have, so I have put in for another Skills Assessment. This will only cover credit for qualifications as they have said any previous employment documentation will be ignored unless I get new docs with updated dates. So can I use both assessments when doing my EOI? Or do I need to bug all my previous employers to resend the same letter with a new date? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

Has anyone come across any issues being on a sponsored visa rather than permanent? Such as paying for children's education or things you weren’t able to do? Did you find it harder to secure work? Etc Thanks

Hi I have completed my skills assessment as Analyst PRogrammer and I have over 10yrs experience working in Business intelligence, as I do not have a degree I am unable to meet the points requirements for a Skilled Visa so am trying to get employer sponsorship. Currently, I have been applying for jobs and contacting businesses and agencies. I am starting to lose hope of making our Australian dream come true as everyone I speak to says getting sponsorship is going to be fairly impossible. I know I have skills and am employable if I were in Australia I am sure I would find work. Any help or advice on getting employer sponsorship would be appreciated. Thanks

I am currently contacting past employers to get a reference to send to the Australian Computer Society to get my skills and experience verified. I am finding most of my employers are only giving me their standard reference which doesn't include a description of job performed which is a requirement. Have others experienced this and how did you get around it? Did you send references without?
