    Frankston

Frankston is a beach side town with some wonderful views, great shopping, and a variety of cultured foods. In the last 12 months Frankston has started a revamp of the city. The train station and surrounding area has undergone upgrades in plans to revitalise the area. In the past Frankston has had a bad name, due to bad publicity and high crime rate, however with the aid of local law enforcement, and Frankston city council funding new refurbishments and upgrades around the area, it now boasts great dining options, Shopping Centres, Beach Front Cafes, Children and pet friendly beaches, Patrolled swimming zones, Aquatic Centres, Arts Centres etc. Beach front dining is so popular now that the beach is clean and tidy with a family friendly atmosphere. There are also more parks for the children to have a great time without being concerned about the weather as they also have undercover options Housing in Frankston in the past did not offer a variety in the “style” of housing, as it was an old commission housing area, however over recent years there has been a great influx of buying and renovating, as a person who has lived in the area for over 20 years, I can honestly say the area is only getting better and looking great. PRIMARY Karingal Primary, Karingal Heights Primary School, Frankston Heights Primary School, Frankston Primary School, Overpot Primary School, Derinya Primary School and Frankston East Primary school, The primary schools in the area are many, with most not having a zoning policy, they are happy to assist you and will help find a suitable placement for your child. They will also advise you if their school can help fit these needs. SECONDARY Frankston High School, McClelland College, Mount Erin Secondary College, Monterey Secondary College are all public secondary colleges. Frankston High has a zoning policy, although they will also assist in a private school payment basis if you have reasons why you insist your child attends Frankston, you can also apply for a scholarship. Frankston High has had a bad reputation in the past and have undergone strenuous changes to change the public perception of their college. As with most schools, there is always someone who will disagree and agree with the quality of education they offer. McClelland College was consolidated of the two Karingal High Schools and has rapidly become a sought-after school as they have a great education program for mainstream and VCAL education Mount Erin is a Zoned Policy Secondary College, however they will take students outside of their zone with extenuating circumstances, and again as most schools in the area, has a great set of programs aimed at helping students better their education. Monterey Secondary collage had a bad reputation in the past, it has worked hard to rectify that by working on its education requirements and needs, Upgrading the buildings and maintaining the appearance of the grounds All the high schools offer the same basic education requirements, but each school has its own independent benefit for your child, some schools offer VCAL some offer special independent studies while others offer specific classes (i.e. camping, surfing, special outdoor education like a botany class with a camping class) PUBLIC TRANSPORT The public transport in Frankston is recommended, with buses or trains able to get you just about anywhere. I would have to say the best way to sort out your trip is to do so with an app you can download to your phone able to show you how to plan your trip it even shows you where to catch your bus or train the time what stops you need to make and so on All in all, Frankston is a great recommended place to live, as it has reasonable priced homes, great variety of multi-culturalism and neighbourhoods that make you feel at home.
