Hi. I have a very different and difficult situation so I hope someone can enlighten me. I have a 457 visa which is valid until Jan 2021 and was nominated by my new employer for a 482 visa and got the nomination approval on Jan 18, 2019. Note my 457 visa was approved on Jan 2017 so I have a grandfathering clause. In December 2018, my husband employer applied for a 482 visa and included me as a dependent which caused my 457 visas to be overridden. Now because of that, my employer who is my current sponsor for the 457 visa knew about my visa being overridden and they are willing to help me apply for PR. My question is, will I still be eligible to apply for the 186 DE visa under my current employer if my 457 visa was overridden? Also, I am a marketing specialist and my skill is not under MTLSSL. Please help me as I need to decide if we should proceed with the assessment of my papers as this will cost me a lot of money.

Hi Raul, I have a 60 day notice to find a new employer and I have found one and I am just waiting for my 457 visa transfer nomination approval. Should I wait for it to get approved before I travel out of the country?

Thanks Raul. My 60 days will end on 6th Sept and my employer said they have lodge the nomination yesterday. Would that be an issue, since it is less than 2 weeks? how long does it take for the nomination to be approved and visa to be transferred?

Hi Raul, would it be an issue if the contract I have signed for the visa transfer didn't indicate the start date, just TBC?

Hi Raul, my new employer told me that before they can transfer the visa, they need to post a job ad for 28 days. Is this true? Is it possible to apply for the visa transfer nomination before the 28 days finishes? I need to know as my visa will expire in 6th Sep - if i need to wait for 28 days, I only have 2 weeks to transfer my visa, is that enough time? I hope you can answer my question as this really worries me.

Hi, I just want to know the new process for transferring the visa to new employer. Is it true that the new employer should have a job post for 28 days before they can apply for nomination for the visa transfer? Is it possible to transfer the visa even before the 28 days finish? or should the visa transfer should be applied after the 28 days period? I am just worried because my Visa will expire in 6th Sep and the company that will be sponsoring me will need to wait for 28 days leaving me with only 2 weeks for the visa nomination and transfer which i think is not enough. Hope you can advise me on this so I can speak to my new employer.
