We got a notary public, we googled one in our area

Thanks for the information! We sent off the skills assessment and it arrived on 13th August (so just before the cut-off date), the initial email said that all documents appear to be correct on a preliminary check. Anticipating a 30+ week wait but hoping to be pleasantly surprised!

Hi all again! we are about to submit my partners skills assessment to AASW... but don’t have job descriptions (as they don’t exist any more!). our agent told us that the Aasw only assess for qualifications and not experience, and that immigration will assess for experience. (So we need them for the 15 points for qualification but not for the points for work experience.) So are the job descriptions really necessary for the positive skills assessment from AASW if he has a masters of social work? thanks ?

Congratulations! Do you mind me asking who certified your documents? The AASW seem very specific on who it can be - justice of the peace, notary etc, and notaries seem to charge a fortune! Looking at over £300 just for certifying copies! Thanks in advance if anyone else has experiences, we are in London.

Hi everyone, my English partner is applying for a 189 visa as a Social Worker (I’m Australian). He spoke with Alex from Let’s Go Global who said since we have done a lot of the groundwork his role will mostly be advisory and therefore he will charge £900, which seemed great. I am however concerned they are not legit as their website states this about MARA: ''Lets Go Global MARA The definitive answer. We adhere to the principles of MARA and retain MARA agents to work your case alongside your Dedicated Account Manager. You will be introduced directly to your MARA agent during the client onboarding process, and in certain circumstances as part of the Visa Assessment process.'' Therefore, our guy does not sound like he is MARA registered! Also, because all their reviews are on trust pilot or on their own website, where it seems Other agents have Google or Facebook reviews. Does anyone know about this agency and could advise? Also is £900 too good to be true or is this reasonable?
