  1. We are from the UK also and we did IELTS. If English is your first language it obviously helps but definitely do plenty of practice to get familiar with the test structure. It doesn't take much of a slip up in even one section and then you miss out on maximum points. Their web site has plenty of practice material which we found helpful. Best of luck with it.
  2. I have asked the same question to my MA and am being told the same. Apparently on my immi account is states... Required examinations not yet determined The health examinations required for this person have not yet been determined. If health examinations are required, a link containing the details will be displayed when the person returns to this page. The home affairs link on one of the above posts is useful and if I am reading it correctly seems to suggest if you have already applied for the visa or if your visa application can take over 6 months to approve then wait for case officer to request medical? There doesn't seem to be a way of getting a HAP iD on my immi account yet. Just says above. Applied in Nov and the wait is painful!
  3. Hi Folks, We applied for state sponsorship (QLD) Nov last year for a 489 visa and this was granted within a couple of days. We then lodged the Visa application shortly after this towards the end of Nov. We have done our police checks but to date have not received a request for medicals. Most posts on here seem to show people getting medicals requested and submitted pretty quickly after submitting the visa application and then having the wait for visa to hopefully be granted. Is it common for there to be such a wait for medicals to be requested or should we be concerned? Appreciate any thoughts.
