Hi, Annie! We are here in Australia on WHV visas currently both separate ones. We are hoping to go for PR some time late next year. We are going to apply before the WHV visa runs out as you have to have another visa lodged to be able to stay in Australia whilst the visa is processing as it can take some time. Still pretty in the dark as to whether we will be successful the GP has said controlled diabetes TP1 shouldn’t affect visa but we have the first appointment with endocrinologist next week hoping they may know a little more from their experience. If not we will go to an agent for advice! I’m a registered nurse so I have a job on the skilled list and my partner will be the dependent. As for the health care so far very good out here- only been here three weeks and already set up with NDSS referral made by gp to the hospital for consultant appointment and that’s happening next week! - the lifestyle is so different here the diabetes has been even more well managed since arriving!
