Nice that would be actually good... but bad at the same time because getting any documets around christmas might be difficult

    Hi

I am sorry but your post is very confusing. Bakery is 1 year old but you applied for 186 TRT which requires you was sponsored and worked for that employer for 2 years already. I would seek help of migration agent which may help you better than people on public forum.

I applied on 16 August (186 TRT) and still nothing, not opened yet

There is unfortunately no correct answer to this, in general people who post here got visa either same day or lets say withing month after but some people waited several months. People here are pretty small sample of all application so unfortunately you just have to wait. But to cheer you up, approved nomination is the important thing - there would have to be something seriously wrong to not approve visa.

Official timeframe is 6-13 months right now, no matter of occupation. Cook will probably not be fast tracked as lets say GP could be.

There is a spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1INy6sxuUIisgLOT7CcskWLjQjHV_6yVvUBRHceWE_a0/edit#gid=1360330206 but it is not much updated lately but you can get some idea.

That's not possible. You have to lodge nomination first because you need the nomination number to lodge visa application. I don't think you can see nomination status in your immi account anyway

Don't worry, I applied on 15/8/19 and still nothing. There is no official info how they queue applications but in general it is somehow by date with additional criteria such as: - is job position really needed? (for example you can see lot of IT positions finalized pretty quick) - is sponsor accredited? - how big the company is? I am of course just guessing but I am pretty sure there are some internal rules for this. There are people who get it in 10 days and people who get it in a year... without knowing their rules it might seem random
  10. Hi, I am primary applicant for 186 visa but my partner's passport will expire in few months. Can we get her new passport and then just update it in immi account or does it complicate it our visa application? We already submitted police checks, will we need new ones with new passport number? Cheers

    187 Visa Processing Time

Just wait, some people waiting even few months after they submit documents but usually is around 1 months so you will hopefully get it soon.

yeah if your are on bridging visa you have to appeal to AAT to keep bridging... or they would have to sponsor you again and then apply for 186 again but I would consult MA

You can reapply which is honestly better than AAT as AAT takes around 1.5-2years now... but I would speak with MA because it depends why they refused. If it is valid reason, there is no point in AAT and I would try to fix it and apply again. But please speak with professional.

Hi, it is automatic. You can tell based on STATUS in what stage it is, if it reads Status: Recieved, it means they haven't open it yet
