Hi I have a question to put out there, regarding the Skype interview element of the Skills Assessment. Can anyone shed any light on the structure or general feel of it, so I can prep as best possible? Would be really appreciated, so thanks in advance! I am a Joiner, and have my interview impending shortly. My Migration agent has given me the subject elements I may be quizzed on, but any additional edge going in to it would be beneficial! Hi Becky That’s really helpful thanks! I think we’ve done as much research as we can online, so will definitely pick your brains at some stage. I’m hopeful that my job seems to favour the central coast (if one of the companies there will take me ?). My wife may commute to Sydney for work, in which case East Gosford would be our prelim option. However if we can both work locally, then we’ll be headed for one of the beach towns. We have an 8 year old girl who’s future is the drive behind the whole thing. So when we’re over next spring we’ll spot you lunch for the inside track, if you’re around at the time. Thanks a million! Haha noted. Spent years pressing my Wife & Daughter to go camping, till they eventually agreed. A glamping setup was the compromise mate, so had to take it or leave it. In all honesty, I’m probably a bit too used to the comforts now myself. Cheers Bill

That’s great, thanks to both of you for taking the time. Been having no luck so far this morning nailing down wether the 16amp 3pin for the extension/hookup lead, which fits the external hook up points on UK camp sites will work. Is it the same power point for electrical hookups on Australian camp, tourist spot electrical hookups? Looked on a few Aussie websites such as BCF.com.au, but could see the equivalent. Probably staring me plain in the face, so thanks again in advance. Bill

Hi All I have a quick question on camping equipment I hope someone could help with. We have a number of electrical camping items and extensions we use for camping at electric pitches in the UK. I’ve seen AUS camping equipment at 240v, 12v, etc, but as UK electrical goods are not compatible with the 230v AUS housing setup, do the same rules apply with the outdoor equipment? Would be great if we didn’t have to sell and re purchase everything again when we arrive, but need to be sure I’m reading the websites right! Many thanks for your input. Have been recently focusing in on everything between Bateau Bay and Avoca, but will definitely be looking around Gosford as well. We will be having a ‘scoping out’ trip next year, as this will be a massive (but welcome) change for us. My wife and I are used to being near the city, so are trying to find the best balance of a big lifestyle change but without too much of a shock initially. Don’t as for much I know!

Hi. Looking to move my family to Central Coast next year, just in the Application process for our Visas currently. We are due to have a trip next year to scope out some areas to raise our family and have been looking at these below. Could anyone give us the heads ups on what these areas are like for families. Researched Terrigal, Avoca and Copacabana, but you can’t beat the opinion of those in the know!
