  1. I can't see text messages working. That's not really proof of a relationship. We submitted a couple.of photos from each year we had been together, and in various places worldwide on holidays together. Photos of us at family functions, us with our daughter growing up etc. All photos had details of who, when and where on the back. Stuff with my family, with my wife's family and everyone. 2 letters from friends confirming we were a legit couple and history of how we met etc. Joint rental receipts, joint household bills, joint bank statements etc. Various examples through the years to show we lived together. Obviously marriage cert and daughters birth certificate showing both names. Any legal docs and historical photo evidence will prove a relationship, but text messages could be between any 2 people and don't really show anything. E.g. my wife and I could change our phone names to you and your partner and send our texts as evidence. It doesn't prove anything and would be difficult for them to verify the info as genuine and correct.
  2. Yeah we have done it twice now. Ultimate ping pong champions. 1st time used an agent and went on old rules. Last time we done ourselves. Had been working in my role here (Oz) for about 8 months when we applied. I had travelled back and got a job offer which as far as all were aware I was taking. I was not working in the role offered when I applied. I had been earning well over equivalent of £18.6k in Oz. Took a couple of weeks to get all paperwork together and was less than 2 weeks from applying to acceptance. And that was over Xmas and New Year. The paperwork and evidence is most difficult part and triple checking we missed nothing. At the time we had less than 10k in the bank and this was not an issue. Job offer is key though. Feel free to ask any questions on what we submitted etc happy to help.
  3. We had a 3 month old washing machine which we never declared. Suppose it's just taking the chance that they may question. Figure the odd items are ok, and as long as not brand new still in boxes and never used you could argue over how long they've been owned.
  4. Not exactly hidden but Tintagel or Mevagissey in Cornwall float my boat.
  5. Would a trip back home for a week or 2 maybe work? The is what I done last time we got my wife's spouse visa. Flew back, done a load of interviews and secured a job. I never took the job but had the offer on paper. This was good enough for our application to be accepted. Of course we didn' t declare I was never taking taking the role but thats a minor point. Maybe a little outlay to go back would be better than living apart?
