  1. HI everyone, Is it true that NSW is not giving 190 invites anymore for applicants not living in NSW? Or is it just applicable to certain occupations (the ones with additional criteria). My partner is the main applicant, we are both Registered Nurses with 80 points EOI. Just recently submitted an EOI. We are currently in SA but we used to work in NSW for 1 year before moving to SA, now we want to move back via visa 190. Anyone know if our chances are good? thank you
  2. Hi Jonny, I've been looking everywhere about this topic. I'm in a similar situation. I entered with 457 visa last year (valid for 3 more years) and thinking of going home or back to NZ for a while. I've just lodged an application for visa 461 (NZ citizen family member)- we didn't realised back then that we have this option, I could have had full working rights. Anyway, we are still in the early stage of our application and I need to be onshore before it is granted. I was thinking to resign and apply for tourist visa so I can still come back and visit my NZ partner here. When your 457 ended when the tourist visa was granted, did it say "cancelled"? I'm just worried that it may affect my current application for 461. Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.
  3. Hi Cherrydums, I have almost a similar situation, although my 457 is still valid for next 3 years. I entered Australia with a 457 not realising we have the option to apply for a 461 and have full working rights. Anyway, when we knew about the 461, we lodged it immediately but still more months of wait I guess as per the processing times stated in the website. I was wondering what steps you took? We wanted to relocate so that means I need to cease my 457. I haven't resigned yet as I'm thinking if that is a reason for my visa to be cancelled and that will be a breach of its condition? My head is really spinning from all these questions but any insight from you or anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks
