Hi All, Just wanted to share that i did my ceremony online on Friday last week (i.e. 17th July) and the wait is finally over and i'm now an Australian citizen. I lodged my application in August 2019 and gave my exam in Feb 2020. I'm from Kingston city council in Victoria. Thanks for all the help. I have been a silent reader of this forum and has helped me immensely. Good luck to everyone waiting. Cheers

ha. that's easy. i think you got confused with the year. Got my PR in 2017 and applied citizenship in 2019 (fulfilled the 4 years requirement as well). Hope that clears the confusion. PR applied : 23/7/2017 PR Granted on 21/10/2017 citizenship applied: 08/08/2019 Exam date: 20/02/2020 Citizenship Approved 21/02/2020 Ceremony date received: (due) Ceremony (due) Dandenong city council, Victoria

Haha. Yes, i'll be doing that honestly. Just wanted to check for the interview what all documents you are taking? I have attached the identity proof (form and photo), birth certificate, passport, driving license. What did you attach for evidence of first arrival in Australia? I'm also unable to attach under my father's and mother's name tab. Apologies for too many questions. Cheers

Hi Everyone, I have submitted my citizenship application today. Got the acknowledgement of application received letter within couple of minutes. Do we get anything else after this anytime soon or should i just sit back and relax for couple of months? Also, do i need to do a police check as well? Cheers

Yes, correct. I noticed the same thing. Strange why have they done this. May be it might come back in July. Or they have changed the rules for partner visa regarding timelines.
