  1. My husband should have sent the info to you. Thanks
  2. Fantastic, thanks I'll take a look
  3. So my husband received an email yesterday saying that his Skills Assessment has been successful, so we now need to complete the expression of interest. Going for a 189 visa. However, husband is concerned that on the info sent from VETASSESS, only people with 80+ points are actually successful with their application, and when he works out out how many points he has it comes to 65. Anyone out there able to advise and possibly talk with us about the process?? Thanks Claire
  4. Thanks for your reply. We're all sorted now, he contacted the uni (Leeds) and they sent something to him that VETASSES have accepted now. So all good. Fingers crossed....
  5. Hi there Anyone got any advice 're the application for permanent residency visa, and as part of the skills assessment having to provide all qualifications transcripts from the qualifying university. My husband has misplaced one of the transcripts and as he graduated over 10 years ago now the uni does not hold copies of the actual transcript, but has provided supporting proof of the said qualification, but VETASSES have said that's not acceptable. Anyone had this before and found a solution?? Any advice welcome.. Thanks x
  6. Thank you. We were aiming for December, but as I feared, time is running out to meet this deadline. We just thought going for sponsored option would be better and quicker, but finding that companies aren't willing to sponsor as we thought they would... My husband's profession is currently in high demand...
  7. When you say 'hoops to jump through' what kind of things do you mean? Apologies, having never done this kind of thing before, I have no idea...
  8. Hi there Sorry if this has been asked lots of times, but I'm so confused re types of visa. My husband and I, and our 2 children were planning a move to Oz for the end of this year, the ideal was that hubby would find an employer to sponsor him for a 482 visa. However, this is proving more difficult that we thought, so looking at the types of visa, we think our only other option would be to apply for permanent residency; although this seems a bit extreme and takes 6-8 MONTHS to go through?? We wanted to be in Oz for 2-3 years, but no set timescale, we were going to see how things went... Is there no other way of getting over there quicker?? Any advice welcome.. Thanks x
