Thank you for the reply! I have been registered with AHPRA before so you think the process would be a little easier for me but it seems not to be the case! I stupidly let my registration lapse last year, hence why I now have to go through all this. But...in the long run it will be worth it!!

Thank you for the reply ? I would like to go with it all ready as well to be truthful, however I am so worried I will have filled something in wrong or forgotten to do something! Am I right in thinking we only need to have our Passport notorised to prove ID and your qualification certificate? I am in the Midlands but I do know of a Notary, I was just wondering if I was being ripped off price wise. ? There just seems so many ways to get it all wrong - I am hoping to submit and EOI for State Sponsorship...as an EN (studied in Aus) my options are quite limited.

May I ask who you got to notorise the identity documents..and what did you send? Just the passport? I am due to fly out 27th April to submit my form in person but I was thinking maybe I should post it first in case I have filled it out wrong (likely hahha!). TIA

Thank goodness...I was having a little worry that I would travel all that way and they would say I didn't have a valid visa!! May I also ask how you went about getting the copies of your documents certified? I have had to do this before over here in the UK for my Aus superannuation and the Notary charged me 30 pounds (stupidly I dont have a pound symbol on my latop as I bought it in Aus! Only a dollar sign lol!) per document. I know when I worked at RBWH we had Justice of the Peace in the main lobby and they certified documents for free. Im thinking I could wait till I get to Aus to certify copies however I would like to have the application all ready to go...who did you use over here? Long winded way to ask a short question sorry lol! x

Thank you for your comments, however I believe I may have been too hasty in my thoughts as last night his fb status change to ‘in a relationship’ with another person so that was a kick but in the guts ? Looks like his thinking and mine were not on the same wave length. But thank you for all the advice... Yes I did withdraw the application as I informed immi the relationship had broken down...so hopefully this was the correct way and won’t hinder any other visas I may apply for. Thank you for the advice. I was seeing a gp in Aus and over here and I am on the medication required to keep me in a happy(ish) place ?

Oh my goodness...I wish someone had given me this advice 18months ago ? please don’t rush into anything. Take you one and think it through in Australia. I met my partner in 2009 in Aus, married in 2014 and applied for defacto visa I was granted the temporary residency and was 6 months off my PR. We moved to rural NSW and this is where is all went wrong. I became very depressed, lonely, homesick and started having panic attack. I packed my bags and left Aus. Worst decision ever. I never gave me and my husband a chance and made a completely rash decision, that was completely wrong! My visa was cancelled and now I am stuck in England feel worse than I did there! We are still in contact and neither of us want to get a divorce as I have this feeling we are meant to be together, and I get the feeling he does too. I am actually going to Aus for a 2 week holiday on 27th April and we are obviously going to meet up, and it may just rekindles things ?? Long story short - we do we stand..? If we do want to make a go of it again I know we will have to apply for a spousal visa again but we obviously wiudknt have the evidence of the continuing relationship for 2 yrs, but then again we are still married. Any advice would be much appreciate, as I am at a loss what to do. I am looking as state sponsorship as I am an Enrolled Nurse (trained in Aus) but the timeframe on that just seems too long. ? May I be nosey and ask how long the processing time was for an offshire visa??

Thank you so much for the reply! Fortunately I already have a bank account in Aus. I lived there for 6 years on x 2 WHV’s, Student Visa and then Partner visa but when my marriage ended in Sept 2016 I just needed to be with my family ( and stupidly left Aus, cancelled my visa and burnt all bridges ??- seems the right thing at the time!) I was 6 months off PR. Hence why now, I am back in a good frame off mind mentally, I know I want and need to get back to Aus. I am an Enrolled Nurse (trained in Aus) and cant use that qualification in the UK so I am applying for State Sponsorship, and while I’m waiting for an invitation I have decided to go to NZ to work as an EN over there. Sorry for the long winded reply I am just excited, but anxious at the prospect I might be able to live back in the Country that I love! I was up till 2am trawling through websites/forums finding out what I need and how to get the ball rolling!! X

Hello All, Just wondering if AHPRA will approved your registration when visiting on a tourist visit? They only state it has to be a valid visa, or boarding card...is this correct?? Only I fly over for a holiday on 27th April and I was hoping to be able to 'present myself in person' to gain full registration. Thank you in advance!
