Applied September 2016 as Cafe Manager in QLD. Worked in the business for 2years. During Visa processing time the owner closed the business for good but told me he may open it again in a different spot in the same town. After 18 months of waiting I finally got the answer my nomination and visa will be withdrawn because the business is not operating anymore! In my case ( in Australia since 7 years, always paid my Taxes, always been employed ) I have to say I’m quite disappointed. Not just because all the money I spent is now a donation to Australia, but it’s also because Immi obviously don’t care about people’s life. I’ve done nothing wrong, it’s not my fault the business closed down- but I’m the person who loose. Applying for another visa is not an option for me. The money, the time, the documents, the checks, the waiting time....no, not again! I’m hoping for all of you guys, your future in Australia will be glory and I wish you the best of luck!

As long as the ABN is the same you used at the application and is still active there is a chance the visa could be granted. That’s what my MA told me. Best of luck to you as well!

Hi 420dream I’m in the same boat! If the business closure before your visa is granted you have to start from scratch (The business ABN is linked to your application) I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for both of us, and for everyone who’s in the same situation like us, to get the grant letter before the business closes down! What is your plan b if you are unlucky?
