  1. That makes a lot of sense! Thank you ?
  2. Thank you for your reply! I did think it would be ‘no’ at first but when I clicked yes it gave me a drop down menu for potential family unit members and they included everyone from parents to business associates, friends, step brothers etc so it has me really confused? Can you shed any light? ?
  3. Hello! ? I am currently applying for the 190 visa on my own and have came across a question to barb is baffling myself and everyone I have asked. I wondered if any of you guys could enlighten me on what it is asking for. ’Does the applicant have any member of their family unit not traveling to Australia who are not Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents’ yes/no? Does anyone understand in more detail what they are asking? Do include all my family members, although they are not joining me? Do I say no? Or do I include my defacto? Hope you you can help! ?
  4. Ahh amazing! So we are similar! I have been qualified for three years but I have only 19 months experience! I traveled a bit I received my invite for 190 visa today so I am looking to get that application is ASAP AHPRA was incredibly stressful! I did all of mine from the UK, could you not just stay at home and do it? You cant spend your 30th on a plane!
  5. It lasts a year, I just renewed mine today. It took me 8 months to get my AHPRA registration! Takes a while so best to get everything sorted before you go, incase you havent! But yes, 12 months
  6. I am doing everything on my own so I hope I have done it right, but I have applied for both 189 visa with 65points and 190 visa with 70 points for NSW. I applied for them both on the same EOI. Is that correct?! I got my AHPRA two years ago and worked in Aus for 6 months on a working holiday visa! So I’m literally ready to go as soon as I get an invite ? How long have you worked as a midwife?! ? I’m honestly so happy to be able to speak to a fellow midwife!
  7. Oh my goodness I can’t believe I have finally found another midwife! I’ve not came across one yet! Congratulations on your invite! That is so exciting! I am exactly the same as you, I have applied for 189/190 visa with 65 points and 70 points. I lodged mine on the 21st March but haven’t heard anything since! Did you just receive an email? Its really reassuring to see you got yours through so quickly! I’m driving myself crazy researching online the occupation ceilings and invitation rounds ? !
  8. Hey! I am really curious as to whether there are any midwives here applying for the 189/190 visa? I have yet to come across another midwife! I have submitted my EOI 189 - 65 and 190 - 70. sjx
  9. I submitted my EOI yesterday 19/03 with 65 points 189 visa! I'm doing it alone too, I just can't afford the lawyer fees! But it's not been too bad so far! Are there any other midwives here??
  10. I am just about to as well! In fact, I went to apply last night and I found that when I selected 'new application' there was no option for 189 skilled migration other than the NewZealand stream! Could anyone help me with that?
  11. That seems to be the case doesn't it. Its hard to find any midwives to discuss this with. I haven't actually submitted my EOI yet as I was concerned about this, have you submitted yours or are you waiting until July?
  12. Hey! I was wondering if there were any midwives here applying for the 189 visa with 65 points or less? Has anyone been invited to apply?
