Yeah. I applied after the changes to the 457 regulations, so I feel think I'm in a weird gap between the old and new rules...

You could easily get approved before many people on here because nobody can really work out the process they follow for the most part. Its literally luck of the draw at the moment.

It seriously seems like there's no rhyme or reason. This may be a dumb question (newbie on here), but are 457s processed with more frequency?

Oh no! My application as a Marketing Specialist (LR country, Direct Entry Onshore, Approved Sponsor) was submitted 24 Oct 2017 and now I'm guessing I should buckle up for a long journey? 

I've been in Australia for almost 7 years now so I was hoping that would help my case, but I'm guessing that I shouldn't rely on that after looking through this forum...
