I only just read this I’m not the best at these forums. I think Iknow your girlfriend, is she called Emma? I think she taught me in my level 2 and I worked with her sister for years! Unless it’s just a coincidence but I’m sure she left Toni & guy academy to go to wella. If it is it really is a small world!!

We are due to to move to Brisbane on the 2nd of April, we live in St Helens, Merseyside. James is a electrical engineer and i'm a hairdresser, i trained and worked with Toni & Guy for couple years and i have already been offered a job and a couple of interviews so your girlfriend wont have problem finding work. We went back in 2016 and we went to Perth very family orientated and we don't have any kids yet but we said if we did it would be a great place to settle down. We chose Brisbane because it pretty much had everything and i have family there. We used a company in Chester called The Emigration group you can book a consultation with them first to get all the advice before you make a start on the process. We started the application back in 2017 finally received 189visa in december.

@Aimz My partner is an electrician so he couldn’t get state sponsorship for QLD, we’ve been waiting for an invite since Feb with 70 points but they was only inviting 300 a round.. so we was waiting exactly 5 months! We also want to go to Brisbane I have family on the Sunshine Coast.. Just hoping to get the grant around Jan/Feb!! I’m sure you will receive an invite by the end of the year if you have 70 points! ?

@Aimzwe was in the exact same position we had 60 points to start and couldn't get state sponsorship.. he took the test again and got 70.. iscah is really good for estimates of when you will receive your invite. Where in QLD are you thinking about going? Good Luck to your partner with the IELTS ?

When did you lodge your expression of interest, with how many points? we lodged on 7th feb, we have 70 points.. we was also hoping for towards the end of the year.

Just seen this, which is saying 9 months but immi tracker is still saying end of may/June for estimate.

How many months was you waiting? where hoping to be invited around June time on 70 points, we can't apply for a 190 for qld and that is where our relatives are so wouldn't like to go to another state so looks like we will have to wait.

I think you have to stay in the same state for 3 years, where going to qld so can't apply for a 190.

Just wondering if you have had any luck with your invite this month? we lodged our expression of interest 6/2/2018 with 70 points (general) electrician.
