Hi everyone [emoji4] just after some advice if anybody can offer any, or have been through the TRA skill assessment. My partners skill qualification is dated March 2015, but his apprenticeship certificate is dated April 2015. Which one would TRA deem as the qualified from date? He done a City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ diploma in plastering. He had a year out of plastering so his 3 years experience is coming up next March, which is when we want to lodge the skill assessment. Or should we wait until April? I know it’s only an extra month but with the way immigration are making changes we’re really eager to get the ball rolling! Thanks! [emoji4]

Can you recommend any books for PTE test?

My partner done PTE last month, booked again for September. Missed out on Superior English by 1 poxy point! He said that the ear plugs they provide help to block some of the background noise out [emoji4] We didn’t buy any books, but from what my partner says, the scored practice tests were very helpful. That’s brilliant thanks have you been granted your visa yet? How has the process been for you? I’ve heard that the TRA skills assessment is the most stressful part of the whole process. Where abouts do you plan on settling when you get there?

My partner worked in Australia for around 4 months, we know that we cannot claim points for Aussie work experience. But can that 4 months be added to overall work experience as plasterer? We have payslips from employer.
