    Thanks Amber. Lee, did ANMAC offer you the chance to apply for a bridging course in the letter they sent you? They seem to cost between $12,000-13,000, but at the moment I’m thinking I’ll try anything! Thanks ?

    Hi Lee, Thanks so much for that. I had a look at the Trans Tasman route, you need 2 years of experience working to register in NZ... And I only have 8 months so far. I'm going to phone ANMAC in the morning to see if they can provide some info. I phone AHPRA last week, and getting info from them was like getting blood from a stone! ... I feel like there must be a way, I'm going to keep looking

    Hi all, I wanted to see if anyone had any more info about their application (and still looks at this site!)?.. I’m in the same situation with an adult nursing pgdip. I’ve been trying to contact AHPRA to ask if my qualification will be accepted - with no real response. so frustrating!

    Hi Alan, Sorry for the off-topic question, but I am a nurse with 65 points (including 5 for state sponsorship) --- I'm wondering if I would realistically be granted a 190 NSW visa with those points? Thanks for your help, Sophie

    Hi Pauline, i think im in a similar situation to you - I'm a nurse, I have 65 points, and I'm wondering if that will be enough to get an invite! I wondered if the points pattern you saw last year meant that people with 60/65 points were actually getting invited eventually - they just had to wait longer than people with 70+ points? i saw a link to a page recently that said offers to people with 60/65 points would be made from June/ July 2018... I think. Thanks

    OH wow, that is so much for the information, I had no idea that the job situation there was so bad - I had expected it to be similar to England, where there are a ludicrous number of nursing positions vacant. i am certainly going to use a visa agent, because the whole business seems like a mine field! If a visa agent says that they think you have a good chance of having a visa granted, do you think you can trust them? Im worried that they just want my money and don't care about the outcome too much!

    Hi all, Thanks so so much for all of the messages, it's so nice to hear from other people in the same situation! Hi Lilly, I'm unsure about using a visa agent / DIY too, but feel as though using an agent should maximise my chances. Hopefully! By the sounds of it, the job situation for nurses is good over there - it shouldn't be too hard finding a job.

    Hi there, I'm new to the forum, It's really interesting reading everyone's experiences and tips. I am a newly qualified nurse (4 months working), wanting to apply for a 190 NSW visa - I wondered if anyone knew what the chances are of it being granted it with only 65 points? (Age 36 = 25 points, English language = 20 points, degree = 15 points, NSW sponsorship = 5 points). I lived in Perth for 2 years several years ago, and am desperate to get out of London and back to the sun!.. But very nervous of spending so much money with no guarantee of the visa being granted. I have contacted several visa agents, and have been told they've had similar cases granted for 190 NSW. But not sure that I can trust them! Thanks so much in advance for any help, Sophie
