So I would be able so drive in Oz with my British sir ere license without having to resit the test & theory? I' hoping yo move to Melbourne by the end if August but have soo much to do before then and now I can't find replies to my other questions on here!

Hi Mary, This is what happens, so I've been told, with the gmpf (greater Manchester pension fund) though would probably lose a lot in the exchange with fees ect also unless I leave it till I'm 67yrs, I stand to lose up o 50% of it! I'm 52 now & have been talking about going back to Oz for the last 10yrs & my sin is now 10 so need to crack on with it though the cost of property & cost of living in Melbourne scares me to death ? might have to rent forever as my house here, though paid off, wouldn't go anywhere in Melbourne!! Any reolies, advice welcome

Hi Only posted once on here but really need to get a move on with everything but does anyone know if you get taxed on rental income in uk if you've already paid your house off & are leaving the country? Also we live in Manchester so would be flying from here though the flights for taking your dog appear to be only from Heathrow is this true? Thanx in advance

Hi, I have dual citizenship for Uk/Australia and lived in Australia from April 00 to November 02, plus I've been coming/going eversince I first went backpacking around Oz in 94! However, I did all this before I had my child so my question is: Would I have to apply for citizenship by descent for my son, pre entering Oz, or could I do it once we arrive in Oz? My Aussie friends of almost 20yrs, think I wouldn't have to do that till we arrive in Oz? Plus my Aussie passport has expired also, so the last time we came to visit, Xmas 2015, I obtained visas which confused passport control somewhat, and I was told I didn't need to do that as I had citizenship and that I should've just travelled on my British passport but can't remember If that applied to my son too? I am hoping to move back at the end of July or August but the property prices, rent rates and general cost of living in Melbourne, where all my support network and previous job are, are freaking me out??
