  1. It's ridiculous how the processing time for a CPV application (offshore) can take up to 3 years when you have to pay the Australian Government a huge sum of money. Two years of processing is understandable, but extending it to 3 years (and you have to pay at least AUD50,000). Geez.
  2. Hey, thanks for this. I hope it won't take that long for them to confirm that the 143 application is lodged after payment of 1st VAC.
  3. Hi guys, I was just wondering if my mum will be granted a visitor visa subclass 600 (family-sponsored) if she would submit an off-shore application for parent visa 143 at least a month prior to applying for a visitor visa? I was just wondering if a pending CPV application could affect an application for a visitor visa. Cheers.
  4. Yeah, I guess you're right. I've thought about it as well. I misunderstood the visa processing time for visa 173 ("unavailable due to low volume of applications"). I thought it would mean faster visa processing. lol But it seems that it has the same processing time as visa 143. Thanks.
  5. If a parent is a holder of a visitor visa and is going to submit an application for a residency visa offshore (i.e. subclass 143/173), when is it best for her to go to Australia for a holiday once the application for a residency visa is lodged? I'm just worried that if the application was submitted but hasn't been acknowledge yet, it might get denied because they will find out she is onshore.
  6. Hi. I'm quite new in this forum. What does it mean by "unavailable due to low volume of applications" upon checking the processing time for visas? Because I was thinking of applying a temporary 173 visa for my mum. Does it mean that the visa processing time will be faster? Thanks.
