Hi, I need to file a resident return visa because my permanent resident visa, which was granted on 19 Oct 2017, expired on 19 Oct 2022. I already filled up a form online, but I am in a dilemma about which form to fill out: - Resident Return Visa (155, 157) (pre June 2018) - Resident Return Visa (155, 157) (post June 2018) Any guidance will be appreciated. I recently got PR for Melbourne under visa category 190. I am planning to move there this December 2017-January 2018. I am a single guy in my 30s with an IT background and having US/India work experience. What will be the best place in Melbourne to look for an 1 bedroom apartment or Studio so that I can stay a few months on rent and search for an IT job? Public transportation availability near the place will be awesome as well because I am not planning to get a car for a few months. My budget is decent and could spend about $300-$500 AUD per month. Please advice.

I have applied for a Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) on August 17, 2017. I got all the relevant documents including PCC from the FBI. My H1B visa got rejected sometime back. Will that affect the outcome of the application? Also, when should I be able to hear back from the DIBP about the visa?
