My daughter, on her one year working holiday visa 6 years,ago with her backpack and laptop, has settled for Hobart. I have intentions of removing myself from Inverness on retirement in a ciuple of years and joining her permanently down under. My transfer will not be as simple as hers and a lot more expensive. I have made several trips there and will be going again this coming Nov - Dec for my annual holiday and would be very interested to meet up with any others who have emigrated from UK to get to know about such things as expenses, bureaucracy, taxes, health services and so on. I shall be staying in Dodges Ferry but also doing some travelling around.
