  1. you will need the offshore technical skills record with either of those you mentioned
  2. i work in the pilbara and it has been hitting between 43- 46 degrees as of late. its tough but you self manage and look after each other.. a few icy poles always go down well
  3. visas sometimes arent overnight things. if you dont have a clean police record this will 100% slow things down for you... time frames is a frustrating guessing game
  4. health insurances rarely cover pre existing conditions..
  5. i never said they should make it easy but the process is far too drawn out for guys who have been in the trade for numerous years. as for undercutting just to get work thats nothing new is it ?
  6. maybe if the government made it easier for uk electricians to transfer licenses without costing thousands on top of visa costs and taking upto a year they might find some of those 9303 electricians they "need"
  7. all depends on when your invited. depending on how many points you have will determine your invitation timeframes.
  8. the airline will not let you fly without a visa so you will have to wait
  9. why not bring them out for a few months to spend that quality time together and have something to look forward too

    i wouldn't be telling customs your onshore intentions when you arrive as a "tourist" but dont want to leave lol... some good agents on here will clear that up for you im sure

  12. as jon has said 230v and 12v equipment is fine.. just need to get yourself a few adapters
