Hi, I completed the ceremony online through video conference end of last year. I don’t know if there has been any changes to the online ceremony since then. I would call them up and let them know your situation, they were very helpful and organised the virtual ceremony a week after I had called them. Good luck!

I called the hotline and they told me to email the department to let them know I would like to request a virtual ceremony as I am offshore.

Got approved for Australian citizenship back in Feb 2020 and am currently overseas outside of Australia. Do you need to be onshore to be invited to a ceremony? I know you have to be onshore to be approved but wondering if this is the case for the ceremony as well.

Question - after approval can you be in another country and get invited to a ceremony or do you need to be in Australia for this to happen? We’re currently outside of Oz right now and still waiting for ceremony details as we got approval back in Feb 2020.

Hi, did you hear back on this? I am in a similar situation declaring yes to convictions when I have traffic offences that are 'without conviction'. Do you also have to tick yes to convictions on the incoming passenger card because you have declared it in the visa application form?
