  1. When I spoke to the call centre they kindly emailed my co because for some reason my emails weren't getting through and on a few occasions the email address they provided didn't work and the emails kept pinging back , I explained and they simply emailed my co with my phone number and a request to call me as we were having technical issues , which she did several times and was very lovely this time around we've had info requests off two separate people and no news since we updated all the new into required
  2. After we got married we lodged for next stage , so the bridging visa we have took over when the pmv ran out , the bridging visa we are now on doesn't allow for us to return to Australia if we leave without getting the appropriate bridging visa that allows us to leave and return
  3. I think they give you deadlines for everything, we got our pmv visa and a date we had to enter Australia by ( we cannot leave unless we apply for bridging visa b I think it is and have special grounds, otherwise if we leave we cannot re-enter Australia) we just prepared everything and were pretty much ready to go within the timeframe given, our co was so nice and told us our visa would be approved assuming the police check was all good and even told me the entry date
  4. We didn't have to change our noim but were waiting on my oh new police check as he got the wrong one initially almost as soon as we submitted it our visas were approved and we had a date we had to be in Australia by it was very quick , that was through the London office though hope you hear soon
  5. It's fab news , really pleased for you , keeping my fingers crossed mine comes through quick once his police check comes through Xx
  6. Congratulations Just waiting for my husbands police check to come through ( apparently the one we got for our pmv visa wasn't the correct one for this visa ) is it still a 2 year wait for pr? Congrats again
  7. Thanks spangle1 you're not kidding on the staying focused part With everything else that there still is to do around the house n normal life etc whilst there's not much difference in all the other stuff I have to do from doing it the first time around I'm still drained from that and moving getting married schools etc! It's relentless but all will be good in the end Got our bridging visa in January Good luck with everything Xx
  8. Our pmv took almost 4 months applied Dec 2017 granted march 2018 ( due to my now husband getting the wrong police check ) or it would of been through sooner!! Our co was very nice as I had trouble uploading things etc so she would call me - such a lovely and helpful lady took the stress right out of things at the end! now on the bridging visa and being driven crazy with paperwork again xx
  9. I'm changing my name after it all goes through it just seems a huge hassle and added stress to do it before , plus ideally I'll be on my way to going for citizenship aswell by then so hopefully do it in one fowl swoop
  10. Haha snap!! Definitely more luck than judgement with my oh ? ? God only knows what goes off in his head I get more comprehension out of the dog sometimes lol xx
  11. I have no idea what my partner applied for he swears it was federal but they sent back state check ? So he had to apply again for the federal , he probably wasn't paying attention to my nagging lol xx
  12. I really wish I could but she's rubbish at doing the washing ?? great at cuddling into tho no sense of personal space lol xx
  13. Hi she's not particularly big - she's not a Labrador size dog but she is quite long ,the quote did include quarantine so it bought the price in line with other companies just took the hassle out of me dealing with that side of things- who are you shipping your cats with? X
  14. The origional quote was £3038 and a few pence plus an extra £20 if I wanted her delivered to my house during the week or £340 at weekends , I paid £800 deposit with the balance due 14 or 21 days before she flew , I'm just trying to navigate the internet with limited success to see if I have any rights on this
  15. So I had a quote from a very nice lady at a pet shipping firm to send my dog to Australia- have spoken to her a couple of times over the last couple of months everything was sorted paid my deposit now I've had an email saying so sorry we got the quote wrong it's going to be an extra £1000 , so frustrated I could cry , the only saving grace is that they will happily give me my deposit back ?
  16. I've decided to go with transfur , I have a great coordinator Sophie, all my fees apart from vets fees are included, even quarantine and delivery to the Gold Coast , they will deliver her crate so she can get use to it then collect her from home to the airport ready to fly and give me a schedule for the vets stuff I still need to do nearer the time, everything I need is in my pacakage , my qualified vet is a vets for pets vet, he has the qualifications that Australia requires so he can complete paperwork etc xx
  17. I don't mind being without over here, like u say we can borrow stuff etc it was more for Australia, I guess I'm just very frustrated that as much as I try I can't seem to get a straight answer from any company or online ,I don't mind the fees I just don't want to think I've got xxx amount for this fee plus a little extra incase and it actually turn out to be xxxxxxx amount think I've been banging my head against a brick wall for three years with one thing and another lol xx
  18. I'm waiting for her to get back to me with a door to door quote , I did look at the shared container but was concerned with having no stuff for my kids and the indefinite arrival times of a shared container xx
  19. I can't even see these fees online if anyone can point me in the right direction? I am rubbish on a computer tho ? The container is not through a 'mate' it's a shipping firm that does self ship or is that essentially the same thing? Xx
  20. I can't even see these fees online if anyone can point me in the right direction? I am rubbish on a computer tho ?Xx
  21. Thanks for that info, I'm beginning to think it's just not worth it whether using a firm or private it's just to much hassle , I love my furniture and it took a lot to save for it after my divorce aswell as my kids stuff - very deflated right now thanks for your help tho - even the self shipping firm haven't said anything about the extra fees nor the firms that have given me quotes and breakdowns I was just told I need to pay about $500 when it arrives at the port which is why I keep thinking of them as port fees lol xx
  22. I assumed it would be pick up after it's been through quarantine? I have no idea where it is is it at the port? Xx
  23. Hi cal I will be privately shipping a container to Brisbane , I've had shipping quotes from uk to oz at no point has anyone mentioned any of these other fees apart from 2 , I simply asked the firm for a quote on how much to get from port to home ( which I still don't know) so I'm not sure what all the other fees are as the email reads to me it's a given that I will have to pay all these fees? Cheers xx
