  1. Hi Richard, I am going through the process of gathering documents for TRA assessment and just realised that new 2017 guidelines book is half of the size of 2015 guidelines - just 15 pages. How do you think they expect us to attach the additional evidence for each period of self-employment? Merged into one pdf - form, bank statements, tax returns 2014-2015, Invoices, accountant statements. Then same for 2012-2013, etc.? In the UK we have our tax year ending on 5th April, therefore Tax documents are per year with different earnings. Shall we combine all years of self-employment as one period or shall we provide self-employment form for each year of employment stating income for each tax year. Or maybe we can average all of the income during the years and fill that information in income section and choose 1st day of self-employment and last day of self-employment over the years. Nonetheless there is no option to choose end date of self-employment as present. Field accepts only date format. On the same topic, some areas of self-employment in the UK doesn't require business certificate. And it seems like all fields in the self-employment are mandatory, compared to 2 choices from employment. Any input will be highly appreciated. G. Submitted from my mobile, please excuse my brevity.
  2. Basically these are the requirements which are with TRA as well. Seems like they are quite same regardless of the asessing body. - I don't have Ltd registered and only business reg.cert I can provide is self employment commencing and completing dates with my accounting for the past years provided from my accountant and backed by HMRC with their annual tax summary where it states my income from self assessment. This is available in their PA portal. Also requested it in paper. - statement from my accountant as per above stating name, nature of my business and start end dates. - for the client statements basically it seems like it more like a reference/testimonials for projects you've done for them. With work performed etc. Have a look at "the TRA - GUIDES and sample references" they have great examples for TRA. ACS should be pretty close. G Submitted from my mobile, please excuse my brevity.
  3. Yeah I did same with HMRC, they said 2-3 weeks. Keep us updated pls what ACS will came back to you with. Submitted from my mobile, please excuse my brevity.
  4. Hi T, I'm in the same process but by TRA as Hardware Technician. I was thinking to provide HMRC statements of being registered as self-employed and letter from accountant when registration occured. Basically being self-employed is gov.uk/working-for-yourself isn't it? Alternatively I was thinking to provide liability insurance letter. But I'm sceptical how helpful it is. Cheers.
