Hi friends... I am planning to apply for 489 in QLD. I have 65 points without the points of english test. I am taking an english test soon. But if we get 7 and score the 10 points I would get 75 points in total. If we get more points than the required points do we get any priority when they take the file??

Hi Friends.... My visa got refused and the case is with AAT. Meanwhile I did a skill assessment done as a cook. I am still working with the same employer as a cook. I can apply only offshore visas as far as I know. But can I apply for any off shore visas like 489, 190 etc??? Thankyou

Hi friends.. I applied for 187 as cook in 2016 and nomination got refused in 2018 march. My case is at AAT at the moment. I am trying for 489 or 190. I have applied to do a skill assessment as cook which is mandatory for these visas. I passed the first section of the skill assessment and is waiting for the second round. It is an interview. If anyone in this forum has done the skill assessment for cook, can you please tell me the topics they might asks questions? It would be a great help.

I dont think you will be able to. But your employer can definitely check or can ask the MA about it.

No... Mine is a different one. But my friend, you need to keep chasing him and make sure he is uploading all the documents. My employer and me trusted my lawyer and believed that he is doing his job. But he didnt. We sent all the documents he asked but he didnt upload them. He got nothing to lose. It is just another visa for him.But I lost all my hope and im at the starting point again and is a big waste of money. So make sure you dont have a difficult situation like many of us.

hi Mohit100.. Thanks for your reply. I havent studied in regional area. I have cert 4 in commercial cookery through RPL and 4 years fulltime experience as cook. I also have skill assessment for cook. Is it wise to apply for 190 or 489??I have 60 points includin the points given by the state. I live in a regional area in QLD.

Hi Dhillon7... The reason for the refusal was that not enough documents to show company is able to sponser me for 2 years. But i have been working here fulltime for 2.3 years. The lawyer didnt upload the financial statements of 2016-2017 and the latest BAS. He was not doing his job and was a fraud. His registration was suspended for 6 months for doing fake application to the immigration with another case.

Hi.... Does anyone know anybody who has gone to AAt and won the case?? My nomination and visa got refused(onshore) recently and have lodged AAT. The Lawyer said i can lodge 489 or 190 visa( both offshore), but 489 is safe she said. I am a cook. Any suggestions friends??

Hi everyone.... Got the bad news on wednesday... Nomination refused cook, QLD, 13 july 2016.... No documents requested. Due to financial reason... gave 28 days to withdraw the visa application. I was on bridging visa. Can someone give me good advice what i can do.?? What are the options i got to stay in Australia??
