  1. Thanks I knew it didn’t sound like the correct information, but I was for sure second guessing myself! I did read my letter several times. But sometimes you just need to ask the daft questions to put your mind at ease.
  2. Hi. We have our 190 which was granted September 2022. We have been to Australia to activate it. We are still in the UK at present. When we move do we just go on the 190 or do we need the RRV (I’ve asked a couple people and been totally stressed out as they seem to think we need ‘return paper work’!).
  3. Thanks everyone. I couldnt remember where I read it so I could even go back and check. But your reply’s are all a great help.
  4. Hi, we recently got our 190 grant. We are looking to move to NSW. I’m just look at renting/buying at the moment. I’ve read some where that you need to be living in NSW for at least 200 days before you can buy a house. Is that accurate? thanks.
  5. I’m quite happy with the no dramatic entry to Australia part we are just so relieved that we finally got the visa, it’s very surreal! Can’t take anything for granted. Hope everyone else waiting hears soon
  6. Thanks very much. I was hoping it would be straight forward!
  7. Hi, We have been fortunate enough to get our 190 grant. We are hoping to get out to Oz for Christmas to activate the visa. Although I have a PR grant do I still need to apply for the ‘visitors visa’ (that you would normally when visiting Australia) to enter Oz for this journey? And when I get to the airport where do I actually go am I just a visitor at this point or am I a resident!
  8. Hi @Cobs_Ahoy. Not sure if your still look for an answer to your question re: Mat leave, but yes the time is deducted from your time spent in employment. My mat leave amounted to a year so I had a year take off my total years work experience (if that makes sense). how you getting on with your application.
  9. Can I ask, what actually happens at the medicals? For kids and adults. Is it a basic check up?
  10. Neither did I. Luckily though, when my agent suggested NSW 190 I had started looking at different areas to get an idea of what NSW was like, as out with WA (the original plan) I hadn’t considered anywhere else in Oz. But Hunters looks perfect!
  11. We got all our paper work submitted at the end of last month. No medicals or police checks yet because of the long waiting times for processing. We selected Hunters Region in NSW. Was it Queensland you were originally looking at? What is the waiting time for your visa type. Are they all the same?
  12. That’s brilliant. We were invited for a 190 NSW. We were delighted! Just having to wait now. We have been told it could be up to 22 months for processing. Sooner would be great but it’s one massive step just getting to the ITA stage
  13. That’s amazing news @Cobs_Ahoy will the 186 give you PR? Will it be NSW you will live in or can you go to your preferred area?
  14. @31Hillbury, you have submitted all your documents/visa application ,and have been waiting 26months; being patient at times like this can be difficult! I hope you hear soon I wonder if it differs from state to state? I’ve applied for NSW. I’ve no idea what the waiting times are.
  15. When you say the ‘visa process’ do you mean after you have submitted all your forms, medicals etc it’s taking 6-9months to hear if you have been successful or not? I know this must seem like a daft question but different ppl use different terms when explain stuff and I can barley keep up as it is with all the forms thanks
