  1. Yes Linda, I just have to wait a year after PR grant and I don’t need to do the test because of my age.
  2. I have some news but I've been doing this timeline for a couple of months and I thought it might be interesting to some. 28/04/2017 - 864 visa application acknowledged October 2018 - BVB granted 20/08/2022 - BVB granted 27/03/2023 - Request for further information 27/03/2023 - AFP check requested 31/03/2023 - BUPA medical 06/04/2023 - AoS application sent to Centrelink - the estimated action date was 17/05/2023 07/04/2023 - UK police ceck requested by email because their website had been cyber attacked. 21/04/2023 - UK police check completed 24/04/2023 - AFP check completed 30/05/2023 - Request from Centrelink for the bank guarantee - to be done in 14 days 05/06/2023 - Bank guarantee and relevant documents uploaded to Centrelink - luckily we had an acknowedgement 26/06/2023 - AoS rejected. The documents hadn't been submitted in the required time. They had. See above. We had to visit a Centrelink office becaue the phone line wouldn't work. After a struggle they agreed to help and acknowledged all the information was there, and on time. 29/06/2023 - Aos accepted 31/08/2023 - Request for 2nd VAC 31/08/2023 - 2nd VAC paid 01/09/2023 - 864 VISA GRANTED. So it's been a long haul but here I am now with PR. Next step citizenship I hope. I want to say huge thanks to Go Matilda for their help with my application, and an especially big thank you to Sarah who has held my hand, metaphorically, through these last nervous months. Good luck to everyone who is waiting. Lesley
  3. So I’m nearly there. My AoS was approved and submitted 29 June (application acknowledged 28 April 2017) as the final piece of the jigsaw. So hopefully not long now.
  4. My AoS was accepted on 29 June so I’m just waiting for the next contact, but not expecting it any time soon.
  5. When did your 143 come through Tulip1? My AOS was accepted on 29 June 2023 after a little drama and based on your experience I’m trying to not be impatient. It’s good to hear you’ve made that step forward.
  6. I’d like to ask a question. On 27 March I received a request for further information. I’ve now done the medical and received both my U.K. and AFP police checks. On 5 April my daughter got confirmation that she’d lodged the AoS and was given 17 May as the estimated date for completion by Centrelink. It’s now 22 May and we’ve still not heard anything. She’s checking her emails daily, including spam, and no phone call either. Also checking her myGov account to look for any movement. From others experience, is this sort of overrun by Centrelink normal? I know they only said the 17 May was an estimation, but it gets a bit frustrating to be so near. I’d quite like to be in the 1000 Alan mentions in his blog!
  7. I have just received a request for further information and request for AOS. My hands are shaking and I’ll be reading everything at least 4 times!
  8. I’m late April 2017 and I’ve not heard anything yet. Fingers and toes crossed!
  9. Yes Linda, I've just been waiting and watching, but as you say May 2017 seems odd. I'd seen January 2017 had been reached and just thought yes, it's getting closer. Now it seems to have gone past me and is nearly reaching you.
  10. My acknowledgement is 28 April 2017 and I've heard nothing. I thought it was strict date order.
  11. It's quite sad that this page seems to have ground to a halt. Or am I missing something?
  12. Interesting reading. Combine this with the details in the processing email, where the assessment/lodged date for 143/864 visas has been May 2016 since August 2020 and the wait time stretches even further.
  13. Re visit to Centrelink. I visited Centrelink in our earlier lockdown and found their arrangements for distancing inside the office were well thought out. And even though I had to queue to get in(I went early before they actually opened) even the queue was great at regulating itself for distancing. So try it, it might not be as bad as you think.
